Tips for Checking the Lights.
When you’re driving, make sure to check your car’s headlights to see if they’re on. Look at the headlight switch to see if it’s in the on position. If not, try turning it on by turning the switch and then looking at the light bulb. If the light bulb is lit, your headlights are on; if it isn’t, your headlights aren’t working properly and you should replace them as soon as possible. Look at the road ahead as well, if you cannot see the road, chances are the lights do not work, or they are dim.
Remember to check all of them
Besides checking the headlights, make sure to check the taillights and blinkers. The taillights are important because they alert those behind you to where your car is. It also helps alert people for when you are braking or if you have to stop suddenly. The turn signals, both front and back, play a significant role because they alert those all around you for what direction you may be turning. If these are not working properly, then there is an increase for an accident. Someone may try to pass you on the side that you decided to turn. You can check the lights yourself by parking the vehicle and turning them on. Walk around the car to make sure they work. Then, turn on each blinker and check both the front and rear lights.
