Engine Cooling System Service

Keep Your Engine Cool—Year-Round

Whether it’s hot or freezing cold outside, your engine needs to stay at a consistent temperature to avoid overheating or freezing. Your cooling system does the critical job of regulating that temperature to protect your engine.

Key Components of Your Cooling System

  • Radiator

  • Water Pump

  • Thermostat

  • Hoses, Fans, Belts & Switches

All of these parts work together to manage your engine’s temperature.

How It Works

Your engine creates a lot of power—and a lot of heat. To prevent damage, a mixture of water and coolant (antifreeze) circulates through the engine, absorbs the heat, and flows to the radiator to be cooled down before cycling back again.

Common Cooling System Issues

  • Overheating or fluctuating engine temps

  • Coolant leaks (often red, green, or orange fluid under the vehicle)

  • Broken water pump or thermostat

  • Failing radiator or cooling fan

  • Cracked hoses or a worn-out fan belt

How to Prevent Problems

Routine maintenance is key:

  • Flush your coolant every 30,000 miles or every 3–5 years

  • Check coolant levels regularly

  • Watch for fluid leaks under your car
